Tariff News and Shipping Updates

To Our Members

We wanted to catch everyone up to speed on what we learned after spending the last week with many of the manufacturers we work closely with and our trade partners where a majority of the holiday boxes we offered in 2024 and our membership products come from.

First and foremost items will ship, 100% guaranteed. Just not fast.

We wanted to send this email out to communicate this information and assure our membership base, we are rooted in this, just as we were during Covid. We will continue to ship things that trickle in from other sources and transportation channels, it just may not be at the level of expeditiousness you prefer.

Currently, a majority of what we sell like many others, comes from China or the near vicinity. Right now, since around the 1st week of March, many of the shipments coming to us were held due to the increase in tariffs. Many believed that tariffs would lessen in the week or so to come from that starting point, but as we all quickly learned, it did not. These manufacturers and our distribution partners that see all these cool items ship in to us, won't resume these shipments until the tariff situation is resolved at the very least back down to what it was from what we have been told. Currently it is sitting at 145% and the loophole many businesses used to bring in small shipments under $800 that would not be subject to import fees or tariffs was just closed by executive order. This is how many businesses, including us, were able to get small shipments into the US and avoiding those costs. Many of our holiday box and membership orders came in this way to help expedite.

Everything we offer on our holiday boxes, fantastic 4 and monthly memberships do not all come direct from the manufacturer as we use a third party distributor to trade and bring in some of those items, thus the reason in our terms of service that you click and acknowledge at checkout, we are incredibly transparent about the wait times, delays and anything else that we can think of that might impact your order. March was going to be a large receiving and shipping month and into April and it has impacted that plan. This was something out of our control, but we are working through it.

After hearing from all the manufacturers and the trade partners, it is a consensus that they believe the tariff situation will be over within the next month. They come to this conclusion due to the holiday season and timelines. If they continue to not ship items from these areas, there will be nothing on the shelf for consumers during the holiday. It is definitely a difficult situation for them.

We ask now more then ever for even more patience with us as we navigate this. We are committed to getting things out quickly, and rely on them getting to us quickly. We want our members to know they are a priority to us and fulfillment is important to us.

We have instructed our shipping team to not wait for the entire order to ship if it hasn't arrived in full. We will be shipping individual cars or whatever has arrived for that specific order out and incurring all the shipping costs to do so to put our members first. The first priority is to target the holiday boxes from last year and the memberships from last year that haven't been completed as well is getting through our backlog of items still needing to go out.

Unfortunately if you are requesting any updates on outstanding orders, without solid understanding of when this will be resolved, we won't be able to give you accurate information. It would be a estimated guess and we have done that in the past few months only to be let down with further delays. We aren't saying to not email us or call, we love hearing from our members, we just unfortunately will more then likely not have a definitive ship date.

What are we doing to help ease this

1. - In stock. Over the next few weeks we will populate product that is directly available to ship within 14 days. This is product sitting in a ship location within the USA and ready to leave. This should help find some items at great prices. This came from a customer suggestion and we appreciate those!

2. - On Memberships and Holiday Box shipments will ship as items come in rather then waiting for all of the cars to ship at once and to fulfill. This will help keep things moving rather then slowing down even more. We keep an internal spreadsheet of every membership and holiday box and will update within the order what specific car is shipping from which line item. Do not be alarmed if you are getting one shipment here and there from your boxes as we would rather keep the flow coming to you then to stop and wait for everything to arrive.
